Tim Hensley: President
An award-winning Cincinnati home builder, Tim Hensley grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in marketing. In 1985, he started Hensley Custom Building Group with his late brother Greg. To date, Tim has built more than 400 of the area’s finest homes, making him one of the top Cincinnati home builders.
Tim’s four decades of experience give him remarkable insights into understanding and exceeding homeowners’ expectations. Tim Hensley is driven by his passion to build lasting relationships and turn dreams into a reality. He enjoys the entire home building process, from working with customers to define their overall vision, right down to paying attention to the fine details. Together, Tim and Hensley clients build both dream homes and lasting relationships.
John Hensley: Vice President Sales & Marketing
A graduate of Moeller High School, John Hensley has worked in the family construction business since the 1990s. After graduation, he traveled around the country as a professional polo player. He played in the U.S. Open four times and was on the winning Rolex Gold Cup team two times.
After several years, John returned to Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in Family Business and Entrepreneurship. He is well-known among Cincinnati home builders for his quality craftsmanship and love of beautiful architecture.
Scott Lovell: Project Manager
With over 28 years of construction knowledge and expertise, Scott Lovell has established himself as a project superintendent. His resume boasts over 150 custom homes, each with its own set of challenges. Scott works daily with the team, project engineers, homeowners and contractors.
Scott has remained a cornerstone of consistency, being the longest tenured employee. Scott’s knowledge base, internal drive and overall focus on quality have made him chief project manager at Hensley Custom Building Group.
Bill Walley: Project Manager
Bill Walley, one of Hensley Homes' project managers, has spent more than 25 years honing his ability to bring construction projects in on time and under budget.
With a focus on commercial projects, Bill has experience in construction, real estate, facilities maintenance, negotiation and teambuilding. He finds strength in lifting others and helping them see the rewards of diligence.
Laura Trapp: Design & Selections Coordinator
Laura Trapp graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in marketing before studying interior design at the Art Institute of Virginia Beach. Her passion for design is matched only by her talent for managing the unique project details for our clients.
Laura coordinates selections between homeowners and our crew in the field. She loves guiding clients through the exciting design build process and enjoys sharing her knowledge every step of the way.
Ashley Deck: Office Manager
As our office manager, Ashley Deck keeps us all on track. We rely on her administrative skills and her enthusiasm as we help clients plan and build their dream homes.
A graduate of Ohio University with a degree in education, Ashley has previously worked in recruiting and human resources for staffing agencies in Fort Worth, Texas, and here in Cincinnati.
